Boca Raton-based Tutor Time, an operator of childcare centers in 24 states, will be acquired by Sun Capital Partners, a VC firm also based in Boca, for $30 million in cash and debt. Tutor Time, which recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, has more than 26,000 children under its care in almost 200 centers nationwide. The deal is expected to close in early July.
