Swap Thing is sort of eBay without the bidding, an online swap meet or flea market. You register for free and then post items you have to sell or those you want to find and wait for e-mails to flood your inbox. A $1 transaction fee is charged to each side when a deal is completed. The site lists more than 3 million items at present -- 21,000 movies, 95,000 music listings and 112,000 collectibles -- searchable by category or keyword. Swap Thing, I think I love you.

CREDIT REPORTS
The new federal law that entitles every U.S. citizen to a free copy of their credit report each year has created a cottage industry for scam artists. An estimated 233 imposter Web sites have sprung up with almost identical renderings of the official URL. Officials at the Better Business Bureau recommend that you never use a credit report Web site that is sent to you or that you find yourself. The only correct site is www.annualcreditreport.com, or you can call 1- 877-322-8228.
